# XL8

XL8's flagship product is MediaCAT, an AI media localization suite spanning transcription, translation, and subtitle editing. XL8 also offers EventCAT for live events.

XL8 is a vendor for teams that need video subtitle translation and multilingual subtitling at scale — language service providers (LSPs), film studios and content owners, streaming platforms, broadcasters, educational institutions, and individual creators. MediaCAT covers the whole workflow: speech recognition and timecoded transcription, machine translation across 45 languages using engines trained specifically on media and entertainment dialogue, and a subtitle editor with AI quality checks. Subtitle files can be imported and exported as SRT and other standard formats. XL8 holds TPN Gold Shield status and SOC 2 Type II certification.
